Gerald Charles is an independent, family-owned watch company based in Switzerland founded in 2000 by Gerald Genta. Gerald Genta is best known for being the celebrated designer of some of the most iconic watches today including the AP Royal Oak, Patek Philippe Nautilus and IWC Ingenieur to name but a few. Gerald Genta died in 2011 but his Gerald Charles Watch company is still producing watches today,

The GC Turbo Chronograph was one of his earlier and more whimsical designs first introduced in 2005 and dedicated to auto racing enthusiasts and devotees of beautiful automobile mechanisms. The TURBO Chronograph model is long out of production and was produced in only a handful of pieces for only a few years.

The Turbo Chronograph features an oversized Black PVD coated stainless steel case with black-lacquered dial and oversized bright RED hour/minute and chronograph hands.

The oversized PVD case is not quite rectangular and measures 46mm in diameter and 47mm in height. THi swatch was made for large wrists!

We are super excited that this example is fitted to a full length TURBO bracelet, complete with all links as purchased new and will fit up to even the largest 8 1/4 inch wrist sizes. Even more rare is to find this watch with a PVD bracelet that has been well preserved and shows virtually no visible signs of wear.

One of the coolest features of this watch is the TURBO etched letters going across the bracelet. Each individual link of the bracelet has a discreetly engraved letter spelling out 'T U R B O' going horizontally across the links. Dont blink or you might miss it--seriously, its hard to see, but once you know its there, its like a well kept secret!)
